Why homeowners pick vinyl
- No painting, staining or sealing, ever.
- Won’t rot, splinter or attract insects.
- Solid privacy panels block sightlines completely, which works well for close neighbors and pools.
- Available in white, tan, gray and wood-grain textures.
What separates a good vinyl install
Vinyl looks alike on the showroom floor. In the ground it doesn’t. Panel wall thickness, the rail profile and reinforcement all make a difference. So does what’s inside the gate posts: we reinforce gate posts so gates don’t sag or drift out of latch. Posts are set in concrete below frost depth, and on sloped yards we step the panels so the bottom gap stays even.
Vinyl styles
Full privacy, privacy with lattice or picket accent tops, semi-privacy, and 3–4 ft picket for front yards. Pool-code configurations are available. See pool fences.
Local notes for Pottstown & the Perkiomen Valley
- Vinyl privacy is popular around pools in Royersford, Gilbertsville and Douglassville. New Hanover requires a building permit for a pool fence on top of the zoning permit, and we file both.
- Where Upper Hanover allows more than 6 ft, the part above 6 ft has to be mostly open. A lattice accent top is one way to meet that.
